Bee Smooth Electrolysis --why the bee? Several reasons, bees work together as a community, the female bees are the only ones that sting, they do a waggle dance to tell their sisters about the best places to find water and nectar, They have been trained to detect bombs and to find disease in humans. They are all dedicated to the hive and work best as a team protecting their Queen. Bees are so important to our planet!
As your electrologist, we will also be working together as a team. We will create a treatment plan that works for you, with your concerns being top priority. I will work with you to determine what areas you want cleared first. Teamwork is important to achieve your goals. I will need your commitment to the process, aftercare treatments, and regularly scheduled appointments so I can effectively destroy the unwanted hair. Trust the process!
Back in the day...
I graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a BA in English and soon after, landed a job in the tech industry. I was happy in that space for over 20 years. I moved to the PNW in 2011. Fast forward to Post covid and so many things had changed. I was laid off and realized I was tired of the tech industry and working in sales, feeling unsupported, and bored with software,
Meanwhile ....I have always been passionate about animals and animal rescue. I was out of work, and I started helping with a local rescue. Being a single mama, I needed to make some decisions about my future career.
I was talking to a friend, who was also one of our fosters (for the rescue), asking what she did for a living -- she is an electrologist, loves her work, and had been one for the past 35 years. I learned there was a massive need for more technicians, and a nationwide shortage. She said how she love helping people feel beautiful and comfortable in their own skin. THAT resonated with me, I loved helping others, but recently it was the 4-legged type. I was immediately interested and started to research and learn more about the industry.
Now......I made the leap, enrolled at the best school: Monterey Bay Institute of Electrology, got licensed, and opened for business: Bee Smooth Electrolysis.
My mentor, friend, and animal rescue foster mom, is the President of the Oregon Board of Electrologists. I am fortunate to have her continued guidance as my business grows.
Why does electrolysis take so long?
Hair grows in cycles. Different areas of the body will grow hair for a longer cycle than others. Only 1/3 of your hair is actually visible, there are many other hairs lurking beneath the surface of your skin. We can discuss the growth process and best way to tackle unwanted hair during the consultation.
